Week 9
THE STYLE COACH!

You don’t want to miss your chance to get fashion tips from
THE STYLE COACH!

Hear about how to look your best at whatever size you are. We will focus on the three main components of successful style: personal expression, color, and silhouette.

It’s important to get to know yourself as you try to express your personality through your clothing style.

Are you a great story teller with a take charge attitude while also a morning person? This may mean you have a Dramatic fashion personality.

Alternatively, if you often beat around the bush during conflict, are of average height and like to eat healthy food it could mean you have a romantic fashion personality. Come take the quiz and discover how to express your inner self by refining your look.

We will also talk about how choosing the right colors will make your skin look youthful and healthy.

Another topic will be understanding your basic body shape and the A,B,C's of figure flattery. That’s:

  • Accentuating your assets
  • Making balance to create symmetry
  • Camouflaging your areas of concern.

If we have time, we’ll cover general recommendations such as:

Fit: Everything should fit you well never too small or too large (either one makes you look larger that you actually are).

Layering: Men try wearing two t-shirts or a polo with a t-shirt under it. Women too should try wearing a scoop neck shirt under a long sleeve v-neck, or a third element of some kind instead of just a top and a bottom.

Undergarments: They should never be seen by the casual observer. They should, however, put everything in its proper place. (Ladies, bras wear out fast so if it has been more than a year, go get fitted for one.)

Jackets: They are a great way to pull an outfit together, especially if they fit close to the body at the torso.

Accessories: Wear them, but you don't always have to match things. In fact it's more interesting when one item "pops" out in an outfit.

Elongate: This is where close matching is appropriate. The longer you look, the slimmer you look. Match your shoes to your hemline and legwear and you've lengthened your legs.
