Week 6
Don’t let your thoughts and feelings sabotage
your weight loss program!
The
presenter, Jeannie Edwards will help
participants identify the emotional states that
for them cause overeating. Participants will
then begin to recognize the cognitive messages
that keep them from succeeding in losing weight.
Once those cognitive messages are discovered,
participants will learn how to change these
messages, leading to a positive change in
emotional state.
Jeannie
will also introduce participants to other
techniques for changing attitudes and emotional
states which sabotage their weight loss
programs. Among these are creating covert
messages, and building repertoires of
alternative behaviors when distressed and
craving food. |

Lose and Win teams have reached the half way
point in the 10 week program in Hancock
County to lose weight and become healthier.
They have accumulated a loss of 2,144
pounds, over a ton!!
The “Southeast Shedders” from Deer Isle won
the “Victory Stick” for week #5.
The “Skinny Bees” came in second. The "Slim
Downs" and the "Quantum Queens" came in
third. |
