Week 10 - Celebration

The end of the 10 week program
was celebrated on

March 7 in Deer Isle
and
March 8 in Ellsworth

Slim Downs—The Grand Prize Winners!

Lose and Win teams celebrated the completion of the 10 week program in Hancock County to lose weight and become healthier.

They have accumulated an impressive grand total of 2645.9 pounds (average of 7.036 pounds per person)

The “Slim Downs” took first place honors. They have participated in Lose and Win since the program started 3 years ago.

The “Livin Life Large Girls” came in second and the “Chunky Monkey’s” from Hannaford came in third.

Eric a member of the “Slim Jims” was awarded first place as the top loser in the male category and Jamie from the “CMT Dream Team” was the top female loser.

A member of the “Hip Huggers” was recognized for using the 10 week challenge to quit smoking.

The teams in Deer Isle/Stonington accumulated a loss of 517.6 pounds, Hannaford in Ellsworth is 189 pounds lighter and the teams from Jackson Lab accumulated a loss of 182 pounds.

The Lose and Win committee will be meeting soon to plan for Lose and Win 2008 and is looking for volunteers to serve on the committee.

Lose and Win is sponsored by Healthy Hancock a coalition of organizations working together to improve the health of residents in Hancock County.
