Reginald T. Puckett, MD, has permanently
joined the staff of Maine Coast Memorial
Hospital.

Puckett has
chosen the hospital and Downeast Maine
after practicing in New York City for 28
years.
I was looking for a place where I might
be of service to a diverse socioeconomic
group a place where I was genuinely
needed. After looking at several
opportunities across the country, a
chance conversation with an old friend
directed me to Maine Coast Memorial
Hospital and Maine Coast Women Care.
Here in Ellsworth there was an
opportunity to work with four proficient
and talented midwives as part of Maine
Coast Women Care. The chance to come up
and work with them for a month arose and
I took advantage of it.
It turned out that this was just what I
was looking for a great practice in a
wonderful place. I have decided to
stay.
Puckett received his medical degree from
the University of Chicago-Pritzkar
School of Medicine and completed a
residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology
at The New York Hospital-Cornell Medical
Center.
During his years of practice in New
York, he was on the Medical Staff at
Lenox Hill Hospital, New York,
Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell
Medical Center and a clinical instructor
in obstetrics and gynecology at Weill
Cornell Medical College.
Puckett brings with him 28 years of
comprehensive experience in all aspects
of obstetrics and gynecology.
He is technically proficient in
gynecological surgical procedures
including operative laparoscopy,
hysteroscopy and LEEP.
Puckett also has 10 years experience in
infertility and assisted in reproductive
technology.
Puckett is certified by the American
Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and
is a Fellow of the American College of
Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
He is also a member of the American
Medical Association and the Medical
Society of the State of New York.
Born in Virginia, Puckett and his wife,
Janice, have been married for 44 years.
His outside interests include long
distance cycling, music and ballet, as
well as computing.
