Jack Frost, Executive Director MCHF

Ellsworth, ME, September 11, 2006 – Maine Coast Healthcare Charities, a non-profit organization that supports the mission of Maine Coast Memorial Hospital, announces the appointment of Jack A. Frost as the healthcare foundation’s first executive director.

Current Trustee Chair Alan J. Goldstein of Winter Harbor said, “Jack has 12 years of non-profit management experience in Eastern Maine and has dedicated himself to numerous civic causes within our community.”

Frost assumes leadership of Healthcare Charities and is responsible for endowment building and developing alternative giving opportunities in relationship to Maine Coast memorial Hospital’s mission. The organization’s goal to build a permanent endowment will help support a higher quality of life for those residing in coastal Acadia and Downeast Maine.

In 2003, President Emeritus of the University of Maine, Dr. Frederick Hutchinson, led a group of insightful men and women and founded Maine Coast Healthcare Charities. Gifts to the foundation generate resources for patient care, project support, program support, new facilities, new technology and equipment as well as indigent care. Unrestricted gifts to the Foundation are utilized where the need is great.
