Jack Frost, Executive Director MCHF

As I’m sure the community is aware, the Foundation’s mission is to offer concerned and interested persons a vehicle to make lasting gifts to our community that will enhance the quality of life for all. At this writing, I have just completed my first    year as the Executive Director of this relatively new philanthropic organization. What a year it has been with more milestones in twelve months than we could ever expect! Gifted with an exceptional Board of Trustees, we have received gifts from well over 40 individuals and families including 100% participation from Trustees. Most noteworthy were our first major gift annuity of $55,000 and the almost unbelievable bequest of $4 million from our longtime friend and Trustee F. Eugene Dixon, Jr.

True to the end in his love for Maine Coast Memorial Hospital and his belief that it would in turn meet the needs of his beloved Downeast Maine. As with all future gifts these important endowments will be invested wisely providing a lasting financial benefit in support of patient care, capital improvements, technical equipment and cutting edge patient care.

The Foundation Board and I are encouraged by the blessings of this past year and hope others will see the opportunity of making an enduring gift for the people of Downeast Maine. I am personally grateful for the extraordinary opportunity to be of service.

Respectfully,
Jack A. Frost
