About Our Services

Maine Coast Memorial Hospital offers outpatient nutritional therapy at its Ellsworth Rehabilitation Services Site. The services of a licensed, registered dietitian are available Monday through Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Thursday from 8a.m. to 1 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sessions are all one to one except where indicated for group classes.

Nutritional Therapy services are provided for:

• High blood pressure
• High cholesterol/hyperlipidemia
• Overweight, obesity
• Eating disorders
• Gastrointestinal disorders such as gluten sensitivity, sprue, celiac disease
• Crohn’s disease
• Gall bladder disease
• Heartburn/ gastroesophageal reflux
• Diabetes
• Gestational diabetes

Group Sessions:

• Diabetes Education classes (see Diabetes Self Management Education for more information) Cardiac Rehab Nutrition classes
  1 1/2 class as part of Cardiac Rehab Education program. First Tuesday of every month 2-3:30 p.m. in the Boardroom. Free and open to the public. Call 664-5343 for more information.Community Outreach, please call 664-5475 for information.
