The current ED, built in the early 90s, seemed huge when it opened.

“It served our needs well for maybe five years,” said Dr. Ken Christian, MCMH’s Director of Emergency Medicine. Then patient beds began showing up in hallways. Now the time has come for a new environment to house the ED and serve the needs of a rapidly-growing patient base. The new design also allows enough space to accommodate new technologies as they become available.
