MCMH Welcomes New Cardiologist

12/16/2016

Maine Coast Memorial Hospital is pleased to welcome Cardiologist Adam Grasso, M.D., Ph.D., F.A.C.C. to the Maine Coast medical staff.

An experienced cardiologist who worked with Cleveland Clinic in Ohio for nearly a decade, most recently Dr. Grasso practiced medicine with Indian Health Service, part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in New Mexico.  When asked why he was drawn to the area he responds, “The area is beautiful, but I was really drawn to the area because of the need for more cardiology care here. I’m really excited to help build a full time program for this community, and help determine the direction of the program to best meet our patients’ needs.”

Dr. Grasso received his medical degree from the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio before completing internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of Washington, School of Medicine in Seattle.  Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in both cardiovascular disease and internal medicine, Dr. Grasso is a professional member of the American Heart Association and a fellow of the American College of Cardiology.

A lover of the outdoors Dr. Grasso enjoys many of the activities the area has to offer, including hiking, fishing, and skiing (both cross country and downhill). He’s looking forward to exploring the area.

Dr. Grasso will be seeing cardiology patients full time at Maine Coast Memorial Hospital, extending cardiology program services to a full five days a week to meet increasing patient needs.  The cardiology office is located in the Medical Office Building at 50 Union St. in Ellsworth, and is in Suite 3600.
