Camden National Bank will once again lend its support to the Maine Coast Memorial Hospital as the lead sponsor for the Hospital’s annual Chefs’ Gala charity event, set to take place on Saturday, April 30 from 5:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the Ellsworth Ramada. Proceeds will benefit the Hospital’s Breast Clinic and help provide mammogram scholarships for women in need.

“Camden National Bank is proud to once again support the Maine Coast Memorial Hospital for this wonderful event,” said Karen Stanley, Chair of the Board of Directors for Camden National Bank and a member of the Hospital’s board. “By contributing to this annual fundraiser, we can help ensure that the Hospital’s Breast Clinic continues to provide comprehensive care and serve as an important resource for women in Hancock and Washington Counties.”

Jack Frost, Director of Philanthropy for the Maine Coast Memorial Hospital Foundation, added “We are thankful for Camden National’s sponsorship again this year and are looking forward to a fun and entertaining event. Guests will be able to enjoy a night filled with great food and great music to help support the high quality care and resources offered through our Breast Clinic. By helping us stay up to date with evolving technology and provide testing to those who might not have the resources otherwise, we hope to catch potential issues as early as possible and ultimately reduce local breast cancer rates in Downeast Maine.”

The theme for this year’s Gala is “Groovin’ with the 70s”, and the event’s 22-member Volunteer Committee is planning for a one of a kind experience where guests will be able to enjoy fine food prepared by local chefs and funky music tied to the disco inspired theme.

Entertainment will be provided by Night & Day – featuring Steve Orlofsky, as well as Ellsworth’s own classic rockers, Whoopy Kat.
